The Area Manager will supervise all SLS/ILS Facilitator(s)/Instructor(s) assigned to his/her case-load.
Work Hours
The Area Manager will work no less than 40 hours/week but may necessitate to contribute more than 40 hours/week.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to social services OR five years of experience in a related field.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Implement the program curriculum according to ISP/M.S.S. Assessment and IPP goals and objectives.
- Monitor, prepare and maintain data regarding consumer's progress.
- Insure consumer's safety.
- Provide periodic feedback to the consumer, family member.
- Participate in consumer's assessment, evaluation and planning, including attending IPP meetings.
- Notify of any Special incident to supervisor Immediately.
- Notify MSS administration of unexplained consecutive absences by the consumer.
- Participate in monthly in-service/training.
- Perform all related responsibilities as requested by the Area Manager.
Requirements
- The ability to demonstrate and provide staff training, supervision and planning.
- Select, Train and supervise assigned staff.
- Plan, manage, coordinate and evaluate instructors' efforts to achieve the program's objectives and consumer outcomes.
- Conduct Assessment on newly referred Consumers to identify and determine service provision objectives based on Consumer's needs and IPP goals.
- Coordinate with the Regional Center the implementation of consumer IPP objectives.
- Assess the program's effectiveness in achieving consumer IPP objectives.
- Identify barriers to consumer success in obtaining the IPP objectives and how those shall be overcome.
- Monitor monthly reports and documentation written by Instructor(s)/Facilitator(s).
- Conduct Consumers' Semi-Annual & Annual Progress Reports.
- Update assigned Consumers' information on a quarterly and/or annual basis keeping consent forms updated as well as all MSS forms relating to those Consumers updated.
- Maintain Communication Logs for all correspondence given to Consumers, Regional Centers and other agencies.
- Conduct field visits to monitor Consumers' program objectives as well as quality assurance monitoring for Instructors'.
- Meet with Associate Director on a weekly basis to discuss internal matters including updates to Consumers, paperwork, policies and procedures as well as concerns regarding Consumers and staff.
- Monitor incidents involving consumer alleged abuse, injury, unauthorized absences, hospitalization, APS, police or other protective agency involvement.
- Area Manager shall supervise a consumer caseload of no less than 45 and no more than 55 cases
